Kukz is back again with a new post on #4sqDay 2013 !! Hope you all will enjoy reading it.
This post is coming forward for all the social birds who keep on chirping day in and day out to various locations and places and who end up sharing their tips and insights about those locations for their friends and social buddies.
For all who are unawared about the introductory part i would say chill guys...
A small brief introductory on Foursquare is waiting for you downside.
I was talking about FOURSQUARE : A location-based social networking website for mobile phones where users can choose to have their check-ins posted on their accounts on Twitter, Facebook, or both. FOURSQUARE is a web and mobile application that allows registered users to post their location at a venue ("check-in") and connect with friends. Check-in requires active user selection and points are awarded at check-in. Each check-in awards the user points and sometimes "badges".
Similarly every year on 16th April #4sqDay is celebrated in many parts where its users are resided and when it comes to INDIA how could we social heads miss to celebrate special FOURSQUARE DAY ...
All praises to @KotakBankLtd for opting & taking keen interest to reach their fans via FOURSQUARE and also for promoting themself probably on all hit social media platforms : Facebook , Twitter & Foursquare.
In lieu of that Kotak Mahindra Bank had organised a meet up to celebrate the 4th Anniversary of Foursquare after its inception in 2009 . #4sqDay 2013 in Mumbai took place at Salt Water Cafe - Bandra where Kotak Bank had invited all the Mayors of Foursquare.
Now what does that Mayor mean : In Foursquare Language it states that : A mayor is an user who has checked into a venue on more days than anyone else in the past 60 days, and has the maximum check-ins under foursquare's time and distance protocols, he will be crowned as the MAYOR of that location.
And because of the reward system where a mayor was to be awarded with a Goody Bag a lots of mayor turned out to this special meet up organised by KOTAK and all of them had a good Check-in Time with their fellow Foursquare Mayors.
Mockatils & Cocktails were served to those invitees who had unlocked a special badge after showing their check in at Salt Water Cafe..
About 50 check ins were registered at Salt Water Cafe Foursquare 2013 Meet Up.
